A rare set of six Danish dining chairs, crafted in the 1960s–70s and inspired by Henning Kjærnulf’s bold Brutalist and baroque aesthetic. Defined by their sculptural silhouettes and finely carved details, these chairs embody the strong architectural presence and craftsmanship associated with Danish design of the period.

Each chair is solid and structurally sound, with no damage to the wood. The frames remain sturdy and stable, retaining their original screws and construction. The oak has developed a warm, beautifully nuanced patina over time, with each chair showing subtle individual aging while clearly belonging together as a cohesive set from the same home. The carved elements and thoughtful detailing further highlight their character.

The seat and back can be easily removed, allowing for straightforward reupholstery. The current fabric requires replacement, which we are pleased to offer at an additional cost.

These chairs pair effortlessly with a mid-century solid oak extension table in the same spirit, or can be combined with a contemporary table for a refined, striking contrast.
