This wonderful Danish oak dresser, crafted in the 1960s, is an example of the unique design philosophy of Henning Kjærnulf. Often celebrated for his distinctive ‘Danish Brutalist’ style, Kjærnulf brilliantly fused the clean, functional lines of Mid-Century Modernism with a bold, expressive character reminiscent of medieval and Baroque furniture. Constructed from superb Nordic oak, the dresser stands on characteristically solid, squared legs, grounded by an elegantly carved low-profile stretcher that adds a touch of sculptural finesse. We have meticulously cleaned the cabinet throughout and nourished the wood with a clear oil finish to preserve its superb original condition.

While this history is evidenced by professionally filled fixing holes on each side, visible in the accompanying photographs, these minor traces do not detract from its handsome appearance.
