Vintage Danish Mid-Century Oak Armchair, attributed to Henning Kjærnulf 1960s

A example of mid-century Scandinavian craftsmanship. Constructed from richly toned danish oak, the frame features gently tapered legs, sculptural armrests, and finely turned spindle supports that lend both strength and visual lightness. The subtly reclined back enhances its inviting silhouette, while the thoughtful joinery speaks to exceptional cabinetmaking traditions.

The chair is upholstered in the original textured green striped fabric called “olmerdug”, accented with tailored button tufting that adds depth and character. The seat and back cushions provide generous comfort without compromising the chair’s clean, architectural lines. The condition of the foam inside the cushions are useable, still firm, and the fabric is without any ugly stains, but with visible wear some places. It can be used as it is, but we recomend a reupholstery in the near future. Since they are removeable, a upholstery is very affordable and we also offer that service. The fabric presents a couple of minor usage tears as does the zip, as shown in the images.

Its warm wood patina pairs effortlessly with the vibrant yet understated textile, making it a versatile addition to both modern and traditional interiors.
