Vintage 1960s Low Lounge Arm Chair Oak, Style of Henning Kjærnulf

Crafted in Denmark in the 1960s/70s, this sculptural lounge chair reflects the bold Brutalist and Baroque-inspired language associated with Henning Kjærnulf. Made from solid oak and retaining its original Savak wool upholstery, the chair combines strong architectural lines with a warm and inviting presence. Produced by an unknown Danish cabinetmaker.

Rooted in Scandinavian modernism, the design balances functionality, comfort, and craftsmanship. The original cushions feature Epeda spring construction in both the seat and back, offering exceptional seating comfort and support.

The chair remains in very good vintage condition, with a beautiful patina developed over time. Minor wear consistent with age and use is present, while the upholstery remains clean and well-kept with no odors or stains. The oak frame is solid and stable throughout.
